OVERCLADDING
The existing cladding remains in place and a new spacer bar system is put into place to support the new cladding. The option of adding insulation between the two cladding sheets would reduce heat loss.
The client can carry out normal operations throughout the process.
Main benefits are:
- Minimal disruption to daily operation
- No loss of revenue – building stays open
- Increased thermal performance with the addition of insulation
- Greatly improved aesthetic look of the building
STRIP AND RE-SHEET
Not as popular as overcladding, but becoming more common for clients who want to remove and safely dispose of Asbestos cement from their building.
Main benefits are:
- Increased thermal performance with the addition of insulation
- Greatly improved aesthetic look of the building
- Asbestos safely removed and disposed of (where applicable)
